"We have been satisfied with our decision to outsource the IT services to Profiz.Outsourcing has brought us better usability and reliability", says Tuomo Tähtinen, the Information Management Director of Componenta Group.

Componenta is an internationally operating metal industry group with industrial plants in Finland and Sweden. The number of personnel of the group is about 1,750.

The Componenta Group outsourced the IT services of all its units to Profiz in 2000. The total number of production units is 10. There are 42 servers and 645 workstations, of which 86 are portable.

Profiz HelpDesk receives all the jobs that are connected with the workstations, servers and applications of Componenta units.The HelpDesk analyzes the service request and carries out the work for example with remote control software or near support. Profiz' co-operation partners will help if necessary, if near support is required outside the capital area.

"If necessary we shall receive an up-to-date working time report of the works that have been done.Profiz will also ensure that the latest version of the anti-virus software is always in use and that the server data is secured properly.As for the servers we also have an auxiliary equipment service", says Tuomo Tähtinen.

"We use the expertise of Profiz also in connection with the purchases of new equipment.With this service we shall always receive the appropriate equipment and have it installed ready-to-use," continues Tuomo Tähtinen
