Future CAD Oy chose SAP’s business system

SAP Finland Oy’s distributor partner Profiz Business Solution Oyj delivers a business system to Future CAD Oy engaging in software wholesale activity. With the SAP application Future CAD Oy aims at e.g. improved management of the IT environment, order and supply chain and customer relationships.

Future CAD Oy takes care of the imports of Autodesk products in Finland, Sweden, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. The company supplies solutions for e.g. architectural and construction design, community planning and mechanics design. The company’s net sales in 2005 amounted to 43.2 million euros. With the new SAP application Future CAD Oy replaces its current systems in Finland. The company’s Swedish outlet has been using SAP for a long time already.

”In Finland we had in use several databases and software components. We were in a situation where we had to start integrating them or acquire a versatile application to support operations”, Future CAD Oy’s Service Director Joni Autio tells about the initial situation. ”SAP Business One is already in use at the Swedish Office. We got a good start since we obtained from the Swedish Office almost complete definitions for the project. We only incorporated country-based changes in them”, continues Autio.

Autio emphasises that management of customer history and the order-supply chain is important as regards the efficiency of operations in Future CAD Oy's business activity. According to him the most important selection criterion of the SAP application was its versatility supporting comprehensively core business processes in logistics as well as in management of customer relationships.

"Management of the logistics chain and customer data are the cornerstones of our activity. We shall have in our knowledge the serial number of every product in order that our activity would be efficient. Errors in the order-supply chain cost a lot. In addition, we must have precise knowledge about the customer's software versions in order that we can operate efficiently and flexibly", crystallizes Autio. "Our client uses SAP software and therefore purchase orders and reporting will be easier to implement in the future", tells Autio.

The intention is to take the new business system into use at the beginning of February. The entire project shall be implemented in three months together with the experienced SAP partner Profiz Business Solution Oyj. "The activity of Profiz has been professional from the very start. The project shall be implemented according to a very tight time schedule in accordance with our wishes. It is important for us that Profiz in its business operations is focused particularly on SAP applications. We know that we are also in the future operating with a reliable partner", tells Autio.
